Originally built in 1831 as a school for Lorrha village. This is one of 2 high quality and very attractive holiday cottages at this location, Courthouse next door, ideal for couples holidaying together, and situated a short walk from the village centre and opposite St Ruadhans Abbey.
Charlie's Cottage has been fully renovated and sleeps 2 or 3 people. The house consists of a kitchen / dining room (4.3m x 5.5m). Sitting room with open fire (4.3m x 3m). Bedroom with a double bed & space for a folding bed or cot (4.3m x 3.6m) and bathroom en suite with shower over bath, WC and wash basin (1.8m x 3.3m).
Outside there is a private seating area and garden with BBQ available, ideal for a relaxed out door meal or a drink in the evening.

Built in approx.1831 as a Courthouse for the locality. Situated next door to Charlie's Cottage and close to the village centre with St. Ruadhans abbey opposite.
Recently renovated to a high quality and retaining the original facade with both doors, one of 2 cottages at this location, ideal for couples holidaying together.
The Courthouse has a kitchen/living room with solid fuel stove (4m x 6.2m). 1 bedroom (4m x 3.7m) with double bed and space for a folding bed or cot, bathroom en suite with shower over bath, WC and wash basin (1.8m x 3m).

Our seasonally selected menu is all locally sourced and we pride ourselves in traditional Irish dishes with mature steaks and fresh Bantry bay seafood as our speciality. For over 20 years we have been catering for both shooting and fishing groups. For guests we would be delighted to cook your fresh catch of the day that evening.
There is also a wealth of activities in the area from horse riding to biking as well as walking trails and golf.

+353 90 9747991 EmailOver the last few years we have restored one of the old buildings back to it's original state and part of it has been converted into a self-catering cottage. It consists of a kitchen/living room area, a toilet/shower room and a large family bedroom which sleeps up to 4 persons. It would be ideal for a couple or family.
Guests will receive a guided tour on the farm and will be able to experience life on a farm surrounded by the magnificent views of the area. The cottage offers an excellent base to explore the area, to go for walks, fishing in the Shannon or visit the historic buildings which are plentiful in the area.
